The Yuma Art Symposium is a series of demonstrations, lectures and slide presentations given by both internationally recognized and emerging artists who have demonstrated excellence in their chosen media. Activities include an exhibit of artworks by presenters, a student show, the National Saw, File, & Solder Sprints, the annual small art auction, and a fiesta and dance on Saturday night.

“Light in the Darkness 2”, a Hanukah menorah, donated to the 39th Annual Benefit Auction at Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina.
“Light in the Darkness 2”, a Hanukah menorah, donated to the Penland School of Craft “39th Annual Benefit Auction”, a two-day event Aug. 23 - 24, 2024. This Hanukah menorah is hand-carved walnut, cast glass, and sterling silver, completed in 2024, based on an earlier Hanukah menorah I created in 2009 that is in the permanent collection of The Jewish Museum NYC.

I taught a two-week workshop at the Penland School of Crafts from July 14 - 26, 2024. The workshop was titled “Adorning the Body”. We had a fabulous group of 9 students that explored materials and unique ways of adorning the body.
“River” Havdalah Set was commissioned by Congregation Ahavath Beth Israel to honor Rabbi Dan Fink upon his retirement.
“River” Havdalah Set was commissioned by Congregation Ahavath Beth Israel to honor Rabbi Dan Fink upon his retirement after 30 years of service. This major commission was created out of sterling silver (from Hoover and Strong - no new metal), and there are river rocks on the Hadas (spice box).
“Tree of Life Mandala”, a Torah Breastplate/Shield was a commission for Congregation Ahavath Beth Israel, Boise, ID.
“Tree of Life Mandala”, a Torah Breastplate/Shield was a commission for Congregation Ahavath Beth Israel, Boise, ID. This was a large, major work commission by the O’Shea family for the synagogue to honor Rabbi Dan Fink upon his retirement.
It includes 7 trees wit 7 branches each, 18 found beach rocks (quartz), moonstone in the center of a Star of David, 12 smaller gemstones in the branches to represent the 12 tribes: lapis, turquoise, jasper, amethyst, garnet, citrine, rose quartz, blue lace agate, emerald, carnelian, peridot, and sapphire.
150 Torah pointers from the Barr Foundation Collection have been donated to the Fralin Museum permament collection at the University of Virginia, including “In Honor of the Matriarch” and “Mayim”.
